Just after sunrise, just before night
I would be one with you out in this light
and we would be lovers in a garden of life
I'd be your husband, you'd be my wife
I'd send you flowers, I'd ride my bike
across town to meet you, to hope you would like
me, despite what you know about how things could go
wrong and go right, these risks that we know
So here in this home, on our piece of land
as rich and as old as the seeds in your hand
consider my weakness, my offer newborn
consider my body, just a bit worn
and just after sunset, at the end of the light
I would be one with you into the night
